Verification boundaryThis tool verifies whether the selected PDF's current bytes match the selected receipt record. It does not upload the PDF to FileNest and does not prove that the JSON receipt came from a particular identity, because a v1 receipt is not a digitally signed certificate. Confirm the sender through a trusted channel when provenance matters.
WHAT THIS DOES AND DOES NOT VERIFY

Verify file integrity without pretending it is an identity signature.

An exact SHA-256 match means the selected PDF's current bytes match the selected receipt record. It does not prove that the JSON receipt was identity-signed by a particular person, company or FileNest server because Document Assurance v1 receipts are not identity digital signatures. Use a trusted communication channel when sender identity matters.
