Batch rename, image, PDF, data, text-document and duplicate tools primarily process content in the browser. OCR also offers a clearly disclosed transient High Accuracy cloud mode plus a Local Privacy mode that keeps source images on-device. Originals are not automatically overwritten.
Credit-consuming tools require a free account. The rolling 24-hour quota is stored server-side, so clearing site data, private browsing or changing browsers does not reset it.
New subscriptions use Stripe Checkout. Pro is granted only after FileNest server confirmation of payment state; a success-page return alone never activates membership. This describes the current payment configuration, not a real-time guarantee of payment-network availability.
The current Pro file-size cap is 50 MB. Image conversion, resize, compression and enhancement currently support up to 50 files per batch; general file tools currently use a 20-file Pro cap; High Accuracy cloud OCR is currently capped at 5 images per batch. A specific tool can use a lower cap, and the live workspace limit is authoritative.
A first renewal failure does not immediately downgrade the account. Recovery remains possible for up to 7 days; saved naming templates remain after downgrade.
