FileNestCalm file work
About FileNest

Less mechanical file work, with more control over how it happens.

FileNest is a set of web tools for everyday office and batch-file work. The goal is not to send every file to the cloud, but to keep processing on-device when the browser can do it reliably and disclose the cases that genuinely require cloud processing.

Product principles

Not everything for everyone. Common file work that stays inspectable.

Keep work local when practicalBatch renaming, common image work, PDF and data conversion, duplicate detection and text-to-document export prioritize browser-local processing. Cloud-required paths are disclosed separately.
Review before executionBatch work can multiply one small mistake across dozens of files. FileNest favors previews, limits and conflict checks instead of putting one-click speed ahead of inspectability.
Publish only validated capacityFile-size and batch limits are verified independently by tool. Numbers that have not passed current stress testing do not become advertised benefits.
Explain the boundaryFileNest separates browser-local processing, transient cloud OCR, account metadata, payment handling and site analytics rather than calling every workflow simply private.
Current scope

What FileNest actually provides today.

The production site currently covers batch renaming, image conversion/resize/compression/enhancement, OCR, PDF merge/split and images-to-PDF, CSV/TSV/JSON conversion, duplicate detection and text-to-common-document export. Capabilities such as PDF-to-Office are not presented as available while they are not offered.
